Germany is a leading European Union country as a hub for the crypto industry, demonstrating steady growth in the number of licensed companies and innovative solutions. Amid tightening regulatory requirements for digital assets under the EU’s upcoming Regulation on Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA), German companies are actively investing in compliance with the new standards.

According to the latest data, the number of registered cryptocurrency providers in Germany has increased by 18% over the past six months, exceeding the EU average. More than 60% of Europe’s leading crypto exchanges and custodial services have already announced plans to obtain a MiCA license in Germany, a move driven by the country’s transparent regulatory environment and high level of investor confidence.

Experts note that the stricter MiCA requirements are driving market consolidation and attracting international projects to Germany that seek to operate legally within the EU. Currently, German regulators have expedited the licensing process, allowing companies to adapt more quickly to the new rules and expand their range of services.

By the end of this year, Germany is expected to be home to more than 120 licensed crypto organizations, strengthening its role in shaping the future of digital finance in Europe.
